Introduction
At around 2000m The Remarkables tower over Queenstown and invite
exploration. This alpine area is generally accessible in summer however it
can snow with little or no warning, so be prepared. The routes are typically multi-pitch
(up to about 200m) on clean gray schist.
If you enjoy multi-pitch adventure climbs, The Remarkables is well
worth a visit.

Access
From Queenstown travel towards Invercargill (for about 40 minutes)
until you reach The Remarkables Sky Area. Drive to the top of the access
road and follow the descriptions in the guide book to reach the climbs.
The average walking time to each climb is about 1 hour. |
