Access
Bald Rock is on private land, permission can be obtained from the
manager Allan Readdy at home on (09) 431 2838 or at work on (09) 431 2211.
Driving north from Auckland, Bald Rock is only a few km north of
Kaiwaka. Turn right on to Bald Rock Road and travel along it for about 1km
where you should see a large water tank on your left, move on and park
just through the very next gate. From there follow the track over the
stream and up to the north face (walking time is about 25 minutes).
