Introduction
A 15 minute from Wharepapa South brings you to the Waipapa Dam, from
ther a short walk will take you to some of the best quality rock you will
find anywhere in the North Island.

Access
Drive across the Waipapa Dam and park in the area adjacent to the gate.
Walk past the gate and up the sealed road until you reach a gravel area
and path to the left. Travel down the path towards the river and follow
the metal pipe downstream until you reach a stream entering the river from
the right. Follow the track beside the stream before climbing up the hill
to the climbing area.

Seldom will you find an area that provides such
an excellent array of climbs and extensive opportunities for further
development.
Wiapapa is an excellent place and well worth a visit, offering both
sport routes and naturally protected lines. |

Millennium Wall
Great climbing either in the corner or straight up the face.
The Arches Face
The Arches climb is a 35m sport route which ascends the crack on the
left, before traversing right directly under the long roof.
Main Area
While there are already a good number of routes in this area, the
potential for new routes is enormous.
