Introduction

With over 300m² of climbing surface and around 40 routes Birkenhead Indoor Climbing Wall offers some of the best facilities in the country. Because of the wall's quality, the Birkenhead wall was selected as the venue of the New Zealand National Sportclimbing Competition on two occasions.

The staff include NZOIA qualified instructors and everyone is totally commitment to your enjoyment and safety, so your in for a great time.

Location

The wall is located on Auckland's North Shore in the grounds of the Birkenhead War Memorial Park. To get there travel towards the Birkenhead Shopping Centre, on to the Highbury Bypass and turn right into Mahara Road. Enter the park through the gates at the end of the road and the wall is located in the Leisure Centre which is on the right-hand side of the car park. (Phone 418-4109 Fax 418-4108)

Hours & Fees

The wall is open between 10am and 10pm every day (except ANZAC day & Xmas day). The fees are as follows:

Entry for people under 16 years of age $9:oo

Entry for people 16 years of age and over $12:oo

Harness hire $4:oo (Required unless you have your own)

Shoe hire $6:oo (Optional)

Chalk bag hire $4:oo (Optional)

Annual Memberships

Cash Payment Option $430.00 (Adult) 1 year (Includes swimming pool regular entry.)

Automatic Payment Option:

	Adult - $35 joining fee + $35 per month AP - 1yr contract
	Student - $35 joining fee + $30 per month AP - 1yr contract (current student ID required).

Membership

Membership offers a great way to reduce entry costs for frequent users.

	Annual Membership $300:oo
	Monthly Membership $35:oo initially then $30:oo per month by automatic payment
